PROJECTS
THE BOARD
PROJECT COORDINATORS
The TEN leadership is looking for feedback from TEN members as to the
direction for TEN in 2000. In order for the organization to thrive, it
must have the active participation of all members.
Members are encouraged to provide suggestions to the Board for events/activities
they would like to see sponsored by TEN. The Board is dedicated to making TEN
a vital organization for the Greater Eastside Communities but it needs member
participation to do so. It is very easy to contact the Board through voice mail,
e-mail and regular mail. Take a few minutes to think of one event that you
would really like TEN to sponsor and send it along!
The Bellevue PFLAG organization has a Speaker's Bureau which provides gay and
lesbians for various speaking activities at area schools, churches and community
colleges. It is a rewarding way to interact with these organizations and to
correct some of the misconceptions in the general community about gays and lesbians.
To volunteer as a speaker, send an e-mail or leave a message on TEN voicemail.
Perhaps you would like to consider a position on the TEN board.
If you are interested in knowing more about Board of Directors'
responsibilities, please contact the TEN voice mail number or
send an e-mail or regular mail. All inquiries
will receive a return telephone call.
You can participate on the TEN Board as an officer, project coordinator
or member at large. Officers include:
Co-Presidents - The co-presidents set
the agenda for and preside over monthly board meetings. As such, they
are responsible for helping to define and carry out TEN's immediate
goals and objectives.
Secretary - Responsible for recording and maintaining the minutes
from TEN's monthly board meetings. The secretary is also empowered to
contract with various organizations as required to conduct TEN's
business.

monthly treasurer's report for presentation to the board. In addition,

TEN members, solicit articles from outside sources, other board members
or TEN members, and assist in the logistics of printing and mailing
